What a 4 oz cup sleeve is for
A tapered paper band that slides onto a 4 oz cup — 56.52 mm at the top narrowing to 45.55 mm at the bottom, 34 mm tall. On a cup only 62 mm high, that band covers most of the visible wall, which is the point of it at this size.
Nobody needs insulation on an espresso. What a 4 oz sleeve does is turn a plain white cup into a branded one for a fraction of the cost of printing the cup itself, and it lets the design change with a season, a promotion or a single event without touching the cup order.
Because it is small and tapered, the printable area is a shallow arc rather than a rectangle: type set straight across it will look like it is climbing. Set text on a curve or keep it to a centred mark. Roasteries, tasting rooms, hotels and dessert menus.
A sleeve grips by friction against a tapered wall, and on the smallest cup there is the least wall to grip. That makes the fit less forgiving here than at any other size: a sleeve cut a millimetre loose will work its way off as the cup is set down and picked up. Order it to the cup you actually use and check one on a real cup before committing to a run.
