We use recycled material wherever food-safety rules allow, and our manufacturer is FSC- and PEFC-certified — so the virgin and recycled paperboard comes from responsibly managed forests.

The rolled rim measures about 90 mm, which is the standard hot-cup lid size, so off-the-shelf lids fit. You can order plastic lids, paper lids, or no lids at all if you already have stock.
Standard cups use food-grade paperboard with a thin food-safe PE lining. That lining is what stops a paper cup leaking, and it meets FDA and EU food-contact requirements. If you need a different barrier for your waste stream, ask for the material spec when you request a quote rather than assuming — the honest answer depends on the run.

Sleeves are worth knowing about: they come in a small size for 8–10 oz cups and a large for 12–20 oz, and they are by far the cheapest way to put your brand on plain stock cups while you build up volume.
There is no minimum order on custom printed cups — the same as papers, boxes, trays and bags. A cup is printed on a reel before it is formed, so the press setup costs the same whatever the run length; that does not stop a short run, it just means the price per cup falls steeply as the quantity rises. Standard hot cups use food-grade paperboard with a thin food-safe PE (polyethylene) inner lining, which is what stops the cup leaking. It meets FDA and EU food-contact requirements. If you need an alternative barrier, ask us when you request a quote and we will send the material spec for the option you are considering.
Yes. Our hot cups are rated for drinks up to around 95°C (203°F), which covers coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Single-wall cups get hot to hold, so pair them with a printed sleeve. Double-wall and ripple-wall cups have an insulating air gap and need no sleeve.
Single-wall is one layer of board (around 300–350 gsm) — the cheapest option, usually used with a sleeve. Double-wall adds a second board with an air gap for insulation and a more premium feel. Ripple-wall uses a fluted outer layer, which insulates best and gives the most grip. All three take full-colour printing.

A PE-lined paper cup is intended for serving, not for reheating. Short warming is generally fine, but repeated microwaving can soften the lining and the glue at the seam. For soup or food that gets reheated, use our paper bowls and tell us how they will be used so we can recommend the right board and coating.
Yes. We print custom coffee cup sleeves in corrugated kraft or white board, in a small size for 8–10 oz cups and a large size for 12–20 oz cups. A printed sleeve is also the cheapest way to brand plain stock cups.
