What a 22 oz cup sleeve is for
The tallest sleeve in the range, 89 mm high, tapering from 85.8 mm to 68.0 mm to fit the 22 oz cup. It shares its diameters with the 20 oz sleeve but is eight millimetres taller, so check the cup size rather than the cup mouth when ordering.
A 22 oz cup is usually a cold or blended drink, and that changes what the sleeve is for: it absorbs the condensation that otherwise runs down a cup and onto a hand or a car seat. A paper band on a sweating cup is doing the same job a coaster does.
Because it is the largest band here it can carry a design that reads as a full wrap — a photograph, a scene, a repeating pattern with no visible join. Cinemas, shake and smoothie bars, stadium and festival catering, and drive-throughs.
Watch the fit on a cold cup. The same paper that absorbs condensation also softens as it does, and a band that started snug can slide once it is damp — which on the largest cup here means a full drink moving inside a wet sleeve. Specify a firm board rather than a light one, and size it tight; a loose sleeve is worse than none on a cold cup.
