What a triangle pizza tray is for
A single slice carried flat: a triangular base with the point cut off, a wall folded up on all three edges, and nothing else — open at the corners, no tab, no glue, no lock. It is the simplest pack on this list and the cheapest way to hand over a slice that still has a rim around it.
Open corners are the trade-off. The tray holds a slice and catches the crumbs, but it will not hold sauce and it is not meant to be carried far. That is the right compromise for a counter where the slice is eaten standing up within a minute or two.
The base is what gets seen, and the cut-off point gives a flat edge that is a natural place for a logo. Slice counters, food courts, festivals and late-night windows are where it is used, and it is often ordered plain with a printed napkin doing the branding instead.
Because there is no lock and nothing to assemble, it can be run on a lighter board than any other pack here, which makes it the cheapest printed item in a slice shop by some distance. Loaded trays also stack, so a counter can build a tower of ready slices — worth designing the base with that in mind, since in a stack only the top one is visible.
