What a header-card bread bag is for
A tapered bakery bag that closes to a pressed top, with a die-cut header card stapled over it and punched so it can hang. It is a bag and a display card in one: the product sits in the bag and the brand sits above it on the card, at eye height on a hook.
That header is the design surface that matters. On a peg rail the bag below is largely hidden by the bag in front of it, and the card is what is seen — so the name, the logo and the product description belong there, not on the bag face.
At 155 by 99 by 205 mm it is a small bag, for rolls, buns, cookies or a portioned bake rather than a loaf. The staple line is fixed, so leave a clear band at the top of the bag where the card is fitted. Bakeries, farm shops, delis and any counter using peg display.
The card is a separate printed item, which is an advantage once you see it. The bag can stay the same all year while the header changes with a season, a flavour or a promotion, so a small run of new cards refreshes the whole display without touching the bag order. Design the two as a pair but order them on different cycles.
