What a cake paper bag is for
A triangular carrier with a die-cut handle, 160 by 101 by 142 mm — made for a slice of cake or a pastry that would be crushed in a flat bag and rattle around in a box. The triangle holds the wedge against two faces so it cannot slide or tip.
It is a shape almost nobody else uses, which is most of its value: a customer walking out with a triangular bag is carrying something obviously from a bakery. The two large sloping faces are the design surface and are seen in profile as it is carried.
The die-cut handle costs nothing extra to print around but does need clearance — keep type and logos below the punch line or they get a hole through them. Bakeries, patisseries, cafés selling cake to take away and dessert counters are the buyers.
It is a bag for a slice, not for a boxed slice. A wedge on a board or in a wrap sits into the triangle exactly as intended; the same slice inside a small box does not, and forcing it defeats the shape. If the cake is going out in a box, a flat-mouth handbag is the carrier for it and this bag is for the counter sale.
