What a combo meal tray is for
One tray that carries the food and the drink: a deep open bay with a raised deck at one end and a 50 mm round well cut through it. The cup drops into the well and is held upright by its own rim, so a whole meal leaves the counter in one hand with no separate carrier.
It is small — 120 by 70 by 30 mm — which makes it a single-serving combo rather than a family tray. The visible faces are the two long walls and the deck around the well, and the deck is the one that stays clear of food, so that is where the brand belongs.
Glued at six points, it arrives flat and springs square with one push, which is what makes it usable at a rush. Cinemas, stadium kiosks, drive-throughs and festival traders use it because it halves the number of things a customer has to hold.
Order the tray to the cup, not the other way round. The well is cut to one diameter, and a cup that is a few millimetres wider will not drop in while a narrower one rattles and tips. If you change cup supplier or add a size, the tray has to be re-cut — so decide the cup first and treat it as fixed.
